The Village Hall has recently been refurbished and redecorated and now has an excellent halogen heating system, plus kitchen facilities and male/female toilets. It is available to hire for private parties and functions, conferences, meetings or training days.
The Village Hall Committee organize a variety of events throughout the year which have included a quiz, barn dance, arts events and of course the Christmas party: please support these and check the calendar for details and watch out for posters in the village.

An occasional event, dependent on the stream flowing, has been a Duck race, held in the spring in previous years by former residents Mike and Sue Crawshaw to raise funds for the Village Hall and St Nicholas Church. The Village Hall committee has decided to take on the organisation of this lively and entertaining event, but with no sign of river it is unlikely to take place this year.
